ⓘ Banksia glaucifolia

Banksia glaucifolia is a shrub endemic to Western Australia.

It was known as Dryandra of Glauca until 2007, when all Dryandra species were transferred to Banksia by Austin mast and Kevin Thiele. The name "Banksia of Glauca" has been published on the link to Banksia macadamia integrifolia subspecies. macadamia integrifolia so mast and Thiele were forced to choose a new specific epithet, of their choice," glaucifolia", retains the original use of "Glauca", from the Latin Glaucus "blue-grey", combining it with the Latin Folium "leaf". Thus, the name refers to the blue-grey leaves of the species.
