Welzheim is a town in the Rems-Murr district, in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. It is located 35 km east of Stuttgart, and 15 km northwest of Schwabisch Gmund. Welzheim has 11.239 inhabitants and is located in the Welzheimer Wald, a forest in the north-east of Wurttemberg.

The district of Welzheim and its surrounding villages, mostly in rural areas and agriculture. Because of the large forests, the timber industry remains a large part of local business.
