Springfield Hospital Center is a regional psychiatric hospital located in Sykesville, Maryland.

William Patterson, founder of B& railway on why Springfield as a summer home and slave plantation to 3.000 acres. The estate was later purchased by Frank brown, who wanted to become Governor of Maryland. As Governor, he sold the estate in Maryland in the nuthouse.

He works for the Department of health of Maryland through the administration of mental hygiene. In the historic center of the hospital was added to the national register of historic places as the Warfield complex, Hubner, and T buildings in 2000.
