ⓘ MeRIPseq

MeRIPseq stands for methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing, which is a method for detection of post-transcriptional RNA modifications. It is also called m6A-seq.

There was a version of MerIP-seq method invented by Benjamin Delatte and colleagues in 2016. This option, called hMerIP-SL RNA hydroxymethylcytosine has been developed that uses the antibody that specifically recognizes 5-hydroxymethylcytosine, a modified RNA base involving in vitro translation and brain development in Drosophila.

  • conducted on transcriptome exome as well to RNA epigenome sequencing data from MeRIPseq or m6Aseq for detection of post - transcriptional RNA modification sites
