ⓘ Siharas of Kannauj
Siharas was the son of Rasal, who preceded him as king of Kannuaj.
According to Chachnama, when Chach of ALOR began the expansion of his Empire, he defeated Matta, chief of Siwistan, and besieged him in his Fort. Shortly thereafter, Mathew the garrison surrendered and the chief sued for peace. Chach, however, appointed Matta as his local Governor. Was not content, however, Matta sent a messenger yeah Lohana for the help. This plan failed when the messengers Aghams was arrested those who are loyal to the chacha.
For Chachs death, Matta went to Kannuaj, which flourished at the time. He asked for help from Siharas, telling him that Chachs brother and successor, chandar, was a monk who spent his whole day in prayer. He asked Siharas to invade the Domains Chandars, and assign him a vassal over a part of them. Siharas answered in the affirmative, saying that "Chach was a great king, and had an extensive territory under his authority. How did he die, I will bring his domain under their own rule, if I take them. They will serve as a great addition to My Kingdom, and I will appoint you over one of their units."
Then Siharas aligned Barha, the grandson of Chach, who ruled over Kashmir and Ramal. They invaded the Domains Chandars, and sent a messenger to the Governor, to induce him to come, make his submission, and sue for protection. However, the staff Chandars were firm and ready, and chandar were preparing his Kingdom for war. In Siharas was seized during the conflict to negotiate and make peace with the hostages. Thus, the campaign failed, and chandar continued to sit on the throne.
