ⓘ Xylophanes bilineata

Xylophanes bilineata is a moth of the family Sphingidae. It is known from Peru.

Wingspan-74-78 mm. It is similar to Xylophanes fassli, but oval patch distal to the discal spot is smaller and dark green. On fore wings dull gray-green. Spot cell is shaped like a large black dot followed a small slightly darkened area. The wings are greyish black with faint orange and cream stripe and a narrow dark green margin. Stripes, white with dark intrusions along the veins.

Adults are probably on wing year round.

Larvae possibly feed on Psychotria panamensis, Psychotria nervosa and Pavonia guanacastensis.
