The Wharf of Silveira is situated in the Bay of Fanal, in the civil parish of São Pedro, in the municipality of Angra do Heroismo, along the southern coast of Terceira, in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores.

The region is part of the historic fishing anchorage, thanks to the high cliffs and protection in the shadow of Monte Brasil, rock basalt is formed from successive pyroclastic lava flows that led to the formation of the tuff cone.

At one end of the Pristan-Karakol, literally "snail" because of the winding tower reminds of the shell of gastropods. Structure acts as a viewing platform and observation tower, and the typical type of structure is used to see the vessels approaching the coast, during the export period of the island.
