Kokartus is an extinct genus of prehistoric salamander from the Middle Jurassic Balabansai Svita of Kyrgyzstan.

The lack of clear lines of stopping the growth rings in the long bones suggests that the animals lived in conditions of stable local conditions. In connection with the morphological features of the bones, it is assumed that live animal neotenic.
