The 2008 United States presidential election in Ohio took place on November 4, 2008, which was part of the 2008 United States presidential election. Voters chose 20 representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.

Ohio was won by Democratic candidate Barack Obama with a 4.6% win. Before the election, most news organizations considered this state as a major swing state and a leader. The two main candidates of the party visited the Buckeye state numerous times and campaigned throughout the state are actively trying to persuade moderate and independent voters to his side. Polls in Ohio were pretty even throughout the campaign but Obama had a slight advantage as election day drew near.
