April is a short romance-drama film written and directed by Otar Iosseliani. The film was produced in 1961 in Iosselianis early period while still in his native Georgia. The film was screened out of competition at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival.

The Fabulous Baron Munchausen

The Fabulous Baron Munchausen is a 1961 Czechoslovak romantic adventure film directed by Karel Zeman, based on the tales about Baron Munchausen. The film combines live-action with various forms of animation and is highly stylized, often evoking the engravings of Gustave Dore. A digital restoration of the film premiered on 5 September 2016 at the Telluride Film Festival in the United States.

The Great Impostor

For The Fleetwoods song, see Hes The Great Imposter. The Great Impostor is a 1961 movie based on the true story of an impostor named Ferdinand Waldo Demara. The film is loosely based on Robert Crichtons 1959 biography of the same name, it stars Tony Curtis in the title role, and was directed by Robert Mulligan. The film only loosely follows Demaras real-life exploits, and is much lighter in tone than the book on which it is based.

Gorgo (film)

Gorgo is a 1961 science fiction monster film directed by Eugene Lourie. Shot in Technicolor, the film is an international co-production of the United Kingdom, the United States, and Ireland. The plot focuses on Gorgo, a young sea monster brought back to London for exploitation, and Ogra, his even larger mother, who rampages across London to search for him.
