ⓘ NPM3

Nucleoplasmin-3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NPM3 gene.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the nuclear chaperone of phosphoproteins, under, and nucleophosmin. It is highly homologous to the mouse Npm3 gene. Based on structural similarities NPM3 human gene and nucleophosmin, NPM3 may be a new member of this genetic family, and may share basic functions with the molecular chaperones.
