ⓘ COG5

Conserved oligomeric Golgi complex subunit 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the COG5 gene.

Multiprotein complexes are key determinants of the structure of the Golgi apparatus and its capacity for intracellular transport and glycoprotein modification. Several complexes have been identified, including transport of the Golgi complex the income statement, comprehensive features, which participates in glycosylation reactions, and the SEC34 complex, which is involved in vesicular transport. These 3 complexes are identical and have been called a conservative nut oligomeric Golgi complex, which includes COG5 Ungar et al. 2002.
