ⓘ HELLS

Lymphoid-specific helicase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the HELLS gene.

This gene encodes lymphoid-specific helicase. Other functions helices in processes for the separation of DNA, including replication, repair, recombination and transcription. This protein is thought to be involved in cell proliferation and may play a role in leukemogenesis. Alternative spliced transcript variants have been described but their biological validity has not been determined.
