Rap guanine nucleotide exchange factor 4, also known as exchange protein directly activated by cAMP 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RAPGEF4 gene.

Epac2 is a target of the camp, the major second messenger in various cells. Epac2 is encoded by the gene RAPGEF4, and is expressed mainly in the brain, neuroendocrine and endocrine tissues. Epac2 function as guanine nucleotide exchange factor for RAS-like small GTP-Aza RAP by stimulation of the camp. Epac2 is involved in a variety of camp-mediated cellular functions in endocrine and neuroendocrine cells and neurons.
