Ironwood Charter Township is a charter township of Gogebic County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2.333 at the 2010 census, a very slight increase from 2.330 at the 2000 census. Ironwood Township is the home of Gogebic Community College, as well as the Gogebic/Iron County airport.

The city of ironwood is at the South end of the village, and administrative autonomy. Most of the land in the village is Ottawa national forest. The Montreal river forms the Western border with Wisconsin to the East. The town of Wakefield is located on the East and Bessemer township to the South with ironwood. Ironwood township is the westernmost municipality in the state of Michigan.

Iron on ski hill called mount Zion, and is in College nearby.
