Edgewood is a home rule-class city in Kenton County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 8.575 at the 2010 census, down from 9.400 at the 2000 census. It was named for an early homestead in Walker Estates.

Edgewood was included in the law On public Assembly on 15 November 1948. In 1968 it merged with two nearby cities – summit hills heights Inc. 1962 and Pius heights Inc. 1965. The new city government started its activities on 1 January 1969.
