ⓘ Duplessis (electoral district)

Duplessis is a provincial electoral district in the Cote-Nord region of Quebec, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It includes the city of Sept-Iles, Fermont and Schefferville. It also includes a single municipality from the Nord-du-Quebec region: the Naskapi village municipality of Kawawachikamach.

It was created for the election of 1960, part of Saguenay provincial electoral district.

Unlike the 2001 election map 2011, she received the unorganized territories of Caniapiscau and Lac July of Ungava constituency.

The riding was named after former Prime Minister Maurice Duplessis in Quebec, who governed the province from 1936 to 1939 and from 1944 to 1959 as the leader of the National Union.
